Lithuania Inflation Rate Falls in March

Lithuania's annual inflation rate eased to 16.6% in March, from a 10-month low of 18.7% rise in the previous month, according to data from the Vilnius-based Statistics Lithuania (LS).
This was the lowest reading since March 2022, as prices increased softer for food & non-alcoholic beverages (27.6% vs 30.2% in February), housing & utilities (34.9% vs 37.8%), and transport (2.7% vs 10.6%).
By contrast, costs accelerated for alcoholic beverages & tobacco products (11.2% vs 10.8%), health (10.7% vs 10.1%), and miscellaneous goods & services (13.5% vs 12.4%).
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices edged down to 0.5% in March, following a 0.7% increase in the previous month.
