Latvia's Jobless Rate Slows in Q4

Latvia's unemployment rate eased to 6.7% in the fourth quarter of 2022 from 7.1% in the previous quarter, data from the Riga-based Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) showed on Friday.
The number of unemployed fell by 2.900 to 63.500, while the number of employed persons decreased by 8.900 to 890.600. Meanwhile, full-time employment rose by 92.3% and part-time increased by 7.6%.
Additionally, in Q4, 5.800 unemployed persons were out of work for less than a month and 14.100 were unemployed for 6-11 months.
Considering the full 2022 year, Latvia's unemployment rate stood at 6.9% and the employment rate was 63.9%.
