Latvia industrial production rises in April

Latvia's industrial production in Latvia surged 20.5% year-on-year in April, from a 4.7% jump in the previous month, data from the Riga-based Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) showed on Thursday.
It was the fastest pace since October of 2010, due to low base effects from the pandemic's outbreak. Manufacturing output gained 20.3% annually in April and rose 3.6% from the previous month.
Production in mining and quarrying output grew 15.0% yearly, while those of electricity and gas supply grew 23.1%.
On a monthly basis, industrial output jumped 2.6%, following a 0.5% gain in March.
