Latvia Industrial Production Rebounds in October

Latvia's industrial production increased 0.5% year-on-year in October, rebounding from a 2.7% decline in September, data from the Riga-based Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) showed on Monday.

Following a 10-month streak of contractions, as output strongly accelerated for electricity & gas supply (40.4% vs 18.3% in September).

Also, manufacturing activity contracted at a slower pace (-3.9% vs -4.6%). Conversely, output for mining & quarrying fell at a faster rate (-22.9% vs -20.9%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose by 1.5% in October, following an upwardly revised 0.6% increase in the prior month.
