KSH: Hungary's PPI down 0.6% in June

Industrial producer prices edged down by 0.6% in June, after declining 1.1% in May, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported yesterday.

KSH said domestic prices fell 2.3% and export prices edged up 0.4%. In a month-on-month comparison, producer prices inched up 0.8% as domestic prices were up 0.3% and export prices rose 1.2%.

Factory gate prices in the manufacturing sector edged up 0.5% y.o.y. Prices in the transport equipment segment rose 2.7%, and prices in the computer, electronic and optical products segment dropped by 7.7%. Prices in the food, beverages and tobacco segment inched up 0.2%. Prices in the gas, electricity and steam supply segment were down 7.0%.

For the period January-June, producer prices fell 0.9% year-on-year as domestic prices dropped 2.1% and export prices declined 0.1%, KSH said.
