Investment intensity highest in Budapest in Q1-Q3

Capital expenditures relative to the number of residents were highest in Budapest in Q1-Q3, data compiled by the Central Statistics Office (KSH) show, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Investments in the capital worked out to HUF 1,378,700 per resident during the period, well over the national average of HUF 540,700 per resident. Investment intensity was second-highest in Komárom-Esztergom County, in the northwest of the country, standing at HUF 1,164,200 per resident.

Investment intensity was under the national average in all other counties.

Corporate CAPEX came to HUF 5.283 trillion in Q1-Q3, down 6.5% from the same period a year earlier. Investment volume rose in just three counties during the period, jumping 74% in Komarom-Esztergom County alone.
