Investment Fund Net Subscription Reaches HUF 192 bln in Apr

Net subscription of units of Hungarian investment funds reached HUF 192 bln in April, monthly data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on Monday show, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Net subscription was practically level with that in March.  

Net asset value (NAV) of Hungarian investment funds reached HUF 13.879 tln at the end of April. Price changes added HUF 62 bln to NAV, but exchange rate changes subtracted HUF 52 bln during the month. Investment fund NAV was up from HUF 10.4 tln a year earlier.

Equities funds had the biggest NAV (HUF 3.882 tln), followed by fixed income funds (HUF 3.424 tln), real estate funds (HUF 3.087 tln) and mixed funds (HUF 2.071 tln) at the end of the month.

There were 860 investment funds under the oversight of the MNB in April.
