Investment Fund Net Subscription Reaches HUF 191 bln in March

Net subscription of units of Hungarian investment funds reached HUF 191 bln in March, monthly data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on Friday show.

The net subscription was down from HUF 297 bln in February and HUF 254 bln in January.

The net asset value (NAV) of Hungarian investment funds reached HUF 13.679 trillion at the end of March. Price changes added HUF 33 bln to NAV, but exchange rate changes subtracted HUF 3 bln during the month. Investment fund NAV was up from HUF 10.4 tln 12 months earlier.

Equities funds had the biggest NAV (HUF 3.844 tln), followed by fixed income funds (HUF 3.274 tln), real estate funds (HUF 3.081 tln), and mixed funds (HUF 2.068 tln) at the end of the month.

There were 867 investment funds under the oversight of the MNB in March.
