Investment company earnings climb 31% in H1

After-tax profit of Hungarian investment companies rose 31% to HUF 9.5 billion in the first half from the same period a year earlier, quarterly data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on Thursday show.
Income from investment services increased 14% to HUF 18.6 bln.
Total assets of the twelve investment companies under the MNB's oversight stood at HUF 524 bln at the end of June, up 51% from 12 months earlier.
