Insurers' premiums revenue rises 10% in Q1

Hungarian insurers' first-quarter revenue from premiums rose 10% year-on-year to HUF 396 billion, Hungarian news agency MTI reports citing data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on Friday.
Revenue from premiums on life insurance policies climbed 8% to HUF 162 bln. Revenue from premiums on general insurance policies rose 11% to HUF 233 bln.
Revenue from premiums on compulsory vehicle insurance increased 6% to HUF 84 bln, while revenue from premiums on comprehensive vehicle policies rose 13% to HUF 36 bln.
Home insurance policies generated revenue from premiums of HUF 43 bln, up 8%.
Insurers' after-tax profit came to HUF 20 bln for the quarter.
