Insurers' premiums revenue climb over 10% in 2021

Hungarian insurers' revenue from premiums rose 10.4% to nearly HUF 1.33 trillion in 2021, state news wire MTI reports, citing data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB)

Revenue from premiums on life insurance policies increased 13.6% to HUF 602.8 billion. Revenue from premiums on general insurance policies rose 7.9% to HUF 726.8 bln.

According to the reports, from premiums on compulsory vehicle insurance policies increased 3.3% to HUF 255.1 bln. Revenue from premiums on comprehensive vehicle insurance policies rose 9.4% to HUF 120 bln.

Revenue from premiums on home insurance policies climbed 7.9% to HUF 150.6 bln.
