Industrial output up 11.5% yr/yr in June

Hungary's industrial output rose an unadjusted 8.8% and a workday-adjusted 11.5% year-on-year in volume terms in June, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on Wednesday.

June output was up 1.8% from May according to seasonally and workday-adjusted figures. Output rose by 10% year-on-year in the first half of 2006, unadjusted figures show. The figures are unchanged from preliminary figures published on August 8.
Domestic sales volume in June was up 5.8% and export volume rose 13.9% from twelve months earlier according to workday-adjusted figures. The unadjusted increases were 3.5% and 10.4%, respectively. Domestic sales rose 1.8% and export sales rose 1.3% from May according to seasonally and workday-adjusted figures. The monthly growth of domestic sales outpaced that of exports for the first time since February. January-June domestic sales volume was up 5.1% and export sales volume was up 14% from a year earlier, unadjusted figures show.
Hungary's industrial output rose 7.3% last year. Domestic sales volume increased 4.4% and export sales increased 11.1% from 2004.
