Hungary gas reserve volume over 5 bln cbm at end-Sep

Volume in Hungary's strategic and commercial gas reserves reached 5.28 billion cubic meters at the end of September, 83% of capacity, the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH) said on Wednesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The volume includes 1.45 billion cubic meters of strategic reserves, MEKH said.

Gas started to be released from the stores on October 1.

Annual gas consumption in Hungary is around 10 billion cubic meters.
