Hungary consumer prices climb 3.6% in August, more than expected
Consumer prices in Hungary climbed 3.6% in the twelve months to August, up from a 3.1% increase in July, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Tuesday.
August consumer prices dropped 0.1% in a month after a 0.3% month-on-month decline in July.
The average forecast of analysts in London for the August twelve-month CPI was 3.34%, and analysts polled by the financial daily Napi Gazdaság had put the headline figure at 3.4%.
