Hungarian regional development continues
Despite the economic downturn caused by the coronavirus epidemic, the level of development of the Hungarian regions has increased, according to the recently published Eurostat data for 2020, writes business daily Világgazdaság.
Based on the regional GDP ranking measured in purchasing power parity, Budapest, the Northern Great Plain, and Northern Hungary were two percentage points closer and the Southern Transdanubia and Southern Great Plain one percentage point closer to the EU average.
Only the development of Western Transdanubia decreased.
