Hungarian life expectancy just below 76 years

Life expectancy at birth in Hungary stood at 75.7 years in 2020, according to data compiled by EU statistical agency Eurostat.
Life expectancy rose from 74.7 years a decade earlier, but was still under the average of 80.4 years for the European Union as a whole.
Life expectancy in Hungary was highest in the capital, at 77.9 years, and lowest in the north of the country, at 73.8 years.
