Hourly rate for blue-collar workers averages over HUF 1,300

The average gross hourly pay rate for skilled and unskilled blue-collar workers in Hungary stood at HUF 1,322 in the fourth quarter, up 10% from the same period a year earlier, an analysis by staffing company Trenkwalder and consultancy BDO Magyarország shows, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The analysis was based on wage data from close to 7,000 workers.

From February 1, the gross hourly statutory minimum wage in Hungary is HUF 1,259 for skilled laborers and HUF 963 for unskilled workers.
