The rise in fuel prices shows no signs of slowing down, with the next price hike at domestic refueling stations coming on Wednesday, vezess.hu reports.
This time, the wholesale price of gasoline and diesel will rise by seven forints each, which will probably be reflected in prices at the pumps.
Taking into account the change in purchase prices, the new average price of 95 is expected to be HUF 636 forints for gasoline and HUF 645 for diesel.
Several factors can significantly increase the price of fuels, including the decrease in production, the price of Brent crude oil, the weakening of the forint, and the increase in excise duty, according to a recent article by news site index.hu.
it is possible that gas prices may increase to approximately HUF 700 / liter by January 2024, the report points out.
