Freight Volume Falls 13% in Q1
Freight volume in Hungary fell 13% year-on-year to 63.3 million tonnes in the first quarter, preliminary data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.
Freight delivered by road accounted for approximately 68% of the total, rail cargo for 18% and pipeline volume for 12%.
Meanwhile, waterway freight only made up 2%.
Road freight volume fell 12%, while rail freight volume was down 7%.
Waterway freight dropped 30% and pipeline volume decreased 21%.
