Foreign Tourists in Romania Spent EUR 330 mln in H1

The total number of non-resident tourists arriving in Romanian tourist accommodation structures was 630,500 in the first half of 2022, compared to 195,800 in H1 last year, data from the statistics office show.

Their expenses amounted to RON 1.65 billion (EUR 330 million) or some RON 2,600 (EUR 520) per person.

Out of the total foreign tourists' spending in H1 this year, 45%-50% went to accommodation expenses, with a higher share (nearly 50%) in the case of business tourists.
