Foreign Nationals Make up Nearly 1/5 of Higher Education Enrollment

The number of foreign nationals enrolled full-time at Hungarian institutions of higher education reached 39,386 in the 2022/2023 academic year, according to data compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
Foreign students accounted for 19% of full-time enrollment at Hungarian universities.
Including part-time enrollment, the number of foreign students at local universities stood at 41,730 in the 2022/2023 academic year.
Close to half of foreign students were enrolled in undergraduate programs, according to KSH.
