Few career starters have savings, and young people are saving significantly less this year than last, the Work Force HR service provider concluded based on representative research commissioned by the Career Starter Index, writes hrportal.hu.
The announcement explained that most young people aged 18-25 have no more than HUF 100,000 set aside, while 17% of them put the amount of their savings between HUF 100,000 and 200,000.
The number of those who have more than HUF 200,000 was negligible, only 8%.
Some 45% of the respondents put aside less this year than last year, 27% saw a significant decrease in their savings, while nearly 18% only perceived a minor change in their financial reserves, they explained.
