FDI into Romania triples in Jan-Aug

Foreign direct investment (FDI) into Romania almost tripled year-on-year in the first eight months of 2021, to EUR 4.394 billion, the central bank said on Thursday.

In another report, the bank said that Romania's foreign debt increased to EUR 135.2 billion at the end of August 2021 from EUR 126.8 billion at the end of 2020.

The end-August figure includes EUR 99.04 billion in long-term foreign debt, up from EUR 93.5 billion at the end of 2020.
