Farmgate Prices Fall 7.2% in April
Farmgate prices in Hungary fell 7.2% in April, after rising 5.1% in March and climbing in the double digits for more than two years, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.
Crop prices fell 18.6%, dropping for the second time in over three years.
Grain prices slipped 21.4% and oilseed prices plunged 44.1%.
The price of livestock and animal products rose 22.7% as prices for live animals increased 24.4% and animal product prices grew 19.2%, albeit at rates well under those in the previous month.
