Farmgate Prices Climb 48% in June

Farmgate prices in Hungary rose 48% year-on-year in June, accelerating from a 45% increase in the previous month, state news wire MTI reports citing data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

Crop prices climbed 52%, as grain prices jumped 71% and industrial crop prices rose 46%. Vegetable prices increased 28%, while fruit prices edged up 2%.

The price of livestock and animal products increased 39%, as prices for live animals rose 43% and animal products prices grew 32%.
