Farm gate prices accelerate in September

Farm gate prices in Hungary rose 16.9% yr/yr in September, accelerating from a 12.4% increase in August, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Monday.
September crop prices were 19.2% higher than twelve months earlier, and livestock and animal products prices were up 12.7%, with crop prices rising more and the rise of animal products prices little changed compared to the respective increases registered in August.
January-September farm gate prices were up 28.5% yr/yr, as crop prices rose 37.1% and livestock and animal products prices rose 14.1% in the period.
Farm gate prices fell year-on-year until June 2010 before starting to rise at a double-digit pace in July 2010.
