Dividend Payments Climb 21% to HUF 6.541 tln in 2021

Dividends paid by Hungarian companies rose 21% to HUF 6.541 trillion in 2021, state news wire MTI reports, citing fresh data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB).
Dividends paid by non-financial companies rose 16% to HUF 5.89 tln.
Non-resident owners took approximately 44% of the total.
Dividends paid by financial companies jumped 116% to HUF 651 bln.
Close to 52% of that was paid to non-resident owners.
