It was the lowest producer inflation since March of 2021, mainly due to a slowdown in prices of mining & quarrying (45.6% vs 51.4% in April). At the same time, prices for manufacturing declined (-1.4% vs 2.4%), while remaining unchanged for water supply (16.3%).
Meanwhile, prices accelerated for electricity, gas, steam & air-conditioning supply (19.3% vs 16.5%).
On a monthly basis, producer prices fell slower at 0.8% in May, from a 1.2% drop in the previous month.
