On a yearly basis, the prices of food, beverages, and tobacco rose 15.4% in January, while energy prices surged 13.8%.

Prices for non-food products excluding energy went up 12.1% and the same for services increased by 9.3%.

On a monthly comparison basis, the consumer price index (CPI) dipped by 0.3% in December, following an increase of 0.9% in November. So far, the statistics agency has not been publishing first estimates of CPI.
