Croatia Producer Prices Ease in February

Croatia's industrial producer prices rose by 12.7% year-on-year in February, after rising by 14% in January, the Zagreb-based Croatian Bureau of Statistics (Crostat) said on Thursday.

Producer prices grew at a softer pace for manufacturing (7.9% vs 9.7% in January) and mining & quarrying (11.8 vs 12.8%).

At the same time, inflation was steady for water supply, sewerage, waste management, & remediation activities (at 1.7%).

On the other hand, the cost increased further for electricity, gas, steam, & air conditioning supply (64.1% vs 59.4%).

On a monthly basis, producer prices advanced by 0.4% after the prior 0.9%.

According to the statistics bureau, the producer price index (PPI) on the domestic market increased 17.8% annually and rose 0.7% on month.

On the non-domestic market, PPI rose by 6.6% on the year and added 0.1% in monthly terms.
