Croatia Inflation Slows in April

The annual inflation rate in Croatia slowed to 8.8% in April from 10.7% in the previous month, preliminary estimates from the Zagreb-based Croatian Bureau of Statistics (Crostat) showed on Tuesday.

It was the lowest reading since March 2022, as prices eased for all the categories, namely food, beverages & tobacco (14.0% vs 15.4% in March 2023), non-food industrial goods without energy (8.6% vs 9.7%), services (7.8% vs 8.2%), and energy (1.1% vs 7.4%).

On a monthly comparison basis, consumer inflation stood at 0.9% in April, unchanged from the prior reading.

The final data on consumer price indices in April, will be released on May 16.
