Croatia inflation rises further in October

Croatia's consumer prices rose by 3.8% year-on-year in October, after increasing by 3.3% year-on-year in September, the Zagreb-based Bureau of Statistics (Crostat) said on Tuesday.

The prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 3.6% annually in October, while the cost for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel prices increased 3%.

Additional upward pressure came from costs of alcoholic beverages & tobacco (5.8%); and restaurants & hotels (3.8%).

On a monthly comparison basis, the consumer price index (CPI) was up 1% in October, following an increase of 1%, in September.
