Bulgaria's unemployment rate falls in June

Bulgaria's registered unemployment rate fell by 0.3 percentage points (pp) in June, reaching its lowest level to date 4.2%, the Employment Agency said on Friday cited by news portal SeeNews.

In annual terms, the jobless rate declined by 1 pp in June, the government agency said in a press release.

As many as 22,060 people registered as unemployed last month, an increase of 1,519 compared to June last year.

At the end of June, there were 138,799 registered unemployed in Bulgaria overall - 8,678 fewer compared to May and 18.7% fewer than in June 2021.
