Bourse share turnover close to HUF 400 bln in May

Share turnover on the Budapest Stock Exchange reached HUF 399.5 billion in May, the bourse said on Wednesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Daily turnover averaged HUF 18 bln during the month.

Turnover of OTP Bank shares added up to HUF 262.5 bln for the month. Turnover of oil and gas company MOL shares reached HUF 85.4 bln and turnover of pharma share Richter came to HUF 39.4 bln.

Wood and Company was the most active broker in May, with double-counted turnover of HUF 236.7 bln. Concorde was runner-up, brokering deals worth HUF 188.8 bln, followed by Erste Bank with turnover of HUF 125.6 bln.
