Bosnia's Federation Annual Inflation Slows in January

The consumer price index (CPI) of Bosnia's Federation rose by 14.7% year-on-year in January, slowing from an increase of 15.7% in December, the entities Agency for Statistics (BHAS) said on Monday.
The average consumer prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose 22%, while prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels went up by 19.5%.
The transportation costs increased 14.7%.
On a monthly comparison basis, the CPI added 0.3% in January, after it declined 0.8% in December.
As a whole of 2022, the consumer prices of Bosnia's Federation rose by an annual average of 14.9%, following an increase by 2.1% in 2021. The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
