Bosnia's economic expansion continues in Q3

Bosnia and Herzegovina's gross domestic product (GDP) advanced by 8.4% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2021, following a 11.6% rise in the previous quarter, data released by the Sarajevo-based Agency for Statistics of BiH (BHAS) showed.
It was the third consecutive quarter of expansion after a recession-induced by the pandemic last year.
The largest increases were recorded in accommodation and food service activities (30.5%); transportation and storage (22%); and wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (18%).
On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, the economy grew 1.7%, slowing from 1.9% rise in the second quarter.
