Avg hourly rate for blue-collar workers climbs 8% in Q3

The average gross hourly pay rate for skilled and unskilled blue-collar workers in Hungary climbed by more than 8% to HUF 1,429 in the third quarter from the same period a year earlier, news agency MTI reports, citing an analysis by staffing company Trenkwalder and consultancy Moore Hungary.
Workers in underdeveloped regions of the country earned around HUF 1,300 per hour, while pay in Central Hungary and in the capital was over HUF 1,900.
The analysis was based on wage data from almost 7,000 workers.
From February 1, the gross hourly statutory minimum wage in Hungary is HUF 1,259 for skilled laborers and HUF 963 for unskilled workers.
