Avg Compulsory Vehicle Insurance Premium Up 4%

Hungarian motorists paid HUF 46,487 for their annual compulsory vehicle insurance premium, on average, in the second quarter, 4% more than in the same period a year earlier, state news wire MTI writes, citing a report by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB).
Motorists in Budapest paid higher premiums: an average HUF 64,777.
The average premium for cars in corporate fleets and for taxis, which aren't included in the averages, stood at HUF 59,192 and HUF 125,167, respectively.
MNB noted that payouts on compulsory vehicle insurance policy claims increased 17% during the period.
