Average Earnings in Slovenia Slightly Down in July

Average earnings for July in Slovenia amounted to EUR 2,202.08 gross and EUR 1,428.46 net.
Compared to earnings for the previous month, both gross and net wages were slightly lower, in nominal terms by 0.2% and in real terms by 0.4%, the Ljubljana-based Statistics Bureau of Slovenia (SURS), said on Friday.
Compared to July last year, gross wages increased by 10% in nominal terms and grew 3.7% by real terms, while net wages went up 9.5% in nominal terms and added 3.2% in real terms.
In July, the average gross wages were highest in financial and insurance activities with EUR 3,186.85, while the lowest gross wages were paid administrative and support service activities, EUR 1,577.92, the statistics agency said
