Analysts put August CPI at plus 0.2%

Figures

TOO SMALL, DO NOT USE

Hungary's consumer price index rose up 0.2%  year-on year in August, according to analysts polled by business daily Napi Gazdaság.

The twelve-month Index was up 0.1% after negative figures in the previous three months.

The Central Statistics Office (KSH) will publish August CPI on September 11.

The analysts put month-on-month CPI at minus 0.1%  and average inflation between 0.1-0.2% in 2014 and at 2.3%  in 2015.

Seasonal food prices and prices continued to fall in August, which could have been offset by higher vehicle fuel and services prices, Gergely Gabler of Erste Bank explained.

The rate of inflation could reach 0.3% year-on-year. CPI could reach approximately 1% in December as the earlier round of retail energy price cuts last November falls out of the base period, he noted.
