Albania economy growth accelerates in Q1

Albania's gross domestic product (GDP) rose by an annual 5.53% in the first quarter of 2021, after growing an annual 2.99% in the previous quarter, the Tirana-based Institute of Statistics (Instat) said in a statement on Tuesday.
The sectors that mostly contributed to the country's economic growth in the first quarter were industry, electricity and water, construction, public administration, education and health.
On a quarterly basis, the economy expanded by 2.3%.
