9,422 new COVID cases registered yesterday

A total of 9,422 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the epidemic to 1,562,827, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

Some 66 people died yesterday due to COVID-related causes, bringing the total number of deaths to 41,471.

The number of recovered persons has reached 1,291,499, and the number of active infections now stands at 229,857.

A total of 4,218 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, 169 of them are on ventilators. 

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,364,167, of whom 6,103,465 have already had their second vaccination and 3,688,593 have already had their booster jabs.
