9,288 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 230,161, with 9,288 new cases and 258 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.
The death toll has increased to 20,995.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 661,721 up from 652,433 yesterday.
The number of recoveries has risen to 410,565.
Currently, 12,062 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,512 of whom are on ventilators.
Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 124,071. Pest County is the second most affected, with 93,050 cases, followed by Győr-Moson-Sopron County (37,500 cases).
So far 4,649,596 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 55,915 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.
The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 57,615.
According to the website, a total of 2,065,948 people have been vaccinated until today, with 787,207 of them receiving a second dose as well.
