844 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 105,302, with 844 new cases and 56 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 12,024.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 360,418 up from 359,574 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 243,092.

Currently, 3,814 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 247 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,062,132 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 18,141 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 67,068. Pest County is the second most affected, with 44,819 cases, followed by Győr-Moson-Sopron County (20,246 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 29,503.

Until now, 146,695 people have been vaccinated, and 9,403 of them have already received the second dose as well.
