8,312 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 128,408, with 8,312 new cases and 172 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.
The death toll stands at 16,497.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 489,172 up from 480,860 yesterday.
The number of recoveries has risen to 344,267.
Currently, 8,329 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 911 of whom are on ventilators.
So far 3,955,994 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 46,302 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.
Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 92,872. Pest County is the second most affected, with 65,206 cases, followed by Győr-Moson-Sopron County (29,090 cases).
The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 48,539.
Until now, 1,149,557 people have been vaccinated, and 327,428 of them have already received the second dose as well.
