726 new COVID-19 cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 223,802, with 726 new cases and 137 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.
The death toll has increased to 28,045.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 784,837 up from 784,111 yesterday.
The number of recoveries has risen to 532,990.
Currently, 4,739 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 549 of whom are on ventilators.
Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 141,093. Pest County is the second most affected, with 108,925 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (44,445 cases).
So far 5,438,145 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 28,080 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.
According to the website, a total of 4,099,495 people have been vaccinated until today. The number of those who have received a second dose as well has increased to 2,157,637.
The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 67,410.
