7,053 new COVID cases registered in Hungary

Some 7,053 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the epidemic to 1,657,615, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.
Some 94 people died yesterday due to COVID-related causes, bringing the total number of deaths to 42,069.
The number of recovered persons has reached 1,384,170, and the number of active infections now stands at 231,376.
A total of 5,167 patients infected with coronavirus are hospitalized, 176 of them are on ventilators.
The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,375,020, of whom 6,123,154 have already had their second vaccination and 3,738,393 have already had their booster jabs.
