696 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 123,647, with 696 new cases and 128 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.
The death toll stands at 10,853.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 344,352 up from 343,656 yesterday.
The number of recoveries has risen to 209,852.
Currently, 5,005 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 356 of whom are on ventilators.
So far 2,860,814 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 25,532 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.
Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 64,729. Pest County is the second most affected, with 42,992 cases, followed by Győr-Moson-Sopron County (19,591 cases).
The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 24,244.
Some 78,579 people have been vaccinated until Monday night, the website notes.
