677 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 188,083, with 677 new cases and 91 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.
The death toll has increased to 28,693.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 792,386 up from 791,709 yesterday.
The number of recoveries has risen to 575,610.
Currently, 3,384 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 394 of whom are on ventilators.
Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 142,001. Pest County is the second most affected, with 109,834 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (45,134 cases).
So far 5,538,792 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 20,967 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.
According to the website, a total of 4,305,775 people have been vaccinated until today. The number of those who have received a second dose as well has increased to 2,503,575.
The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 68,004.
