6,851 new COVID cases registered in Hungary

A total of 6,851 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the epidemic to 1,355,084, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

Some 94 people died yesterday due to COVID-related causes, bringing the total number of deaths to 40,601.

The number of recovered persons has reached 1,176,855, and the number of active infections now stands at 137,628.

A total of 2,689 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, 217 of them are on ventilators. 

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,321,039, of whom 6,062,346 have already had their second vaccination and 3,423,900 have already had their booster jabs.
